Company Description: Modern Luxury is a leading publisher of regional luxury lifestyle magazines. The Company currently publishes Chicago Social, Angeleno, Riviera , San Diego Riviera , Modern Luxury Dallas , Front Desk Chicago , Front Desk Los Angeles , and Bel Air magazines. The publications utilize a proprietary controlled circulation distribution system based on addresses and very high design and production values to attract luxury advertisers.

Transaction: SCGF provided the equity capital for a leveraged recapitalization of Modern Luxury. The sources of capital for the recapitalization were a combination of debt, equity, and earnout.

Status: After a three year holding period, Modern Luxury was sold in June 2007 to Clarity Partners.
