Built in 1898, the Douglas Building is a 5 story, 74,000 square foot vacant former office building with an adjacent 8,500 square foot surface parking lot that is being converted into 50 condominiums units 17,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. The Douglas Building combines an excellent location with on-site parking that will benefit the ground floor retail users and will provide excellent condominium units. The developer is targeting a Class A drug store for the facility, believing that the use will be a benefit in the burgeoning revitalization effort in downtown Los Angeles. Genesis sold this project in December 2004.
