Genesis I made an early investment in the SunQuest Industrial Park, which was expected to bring Class A industrial tenants to the former Branford landfill site in Arleta, CA. Genesis secured its investment with a First Deed of Trust on 12 acres of raw land adjacent to the landfill. The project encountered significant political and sponsorship issues. Genesis sold this investment to an equity investor in 2002, but continues to monitor the project's progress and views it as a potential future investment opportunity.
